Thomas Cobb and Margaret Benning had three sons: Thomas Theordore, Augustus Harrison, and Henry. They also had a daughter, Rowena, who married Mr. Walter L. Lawrence. Theodore and Augustus, or Gus as he was known, joined the American Merchant Marine. They both rose to the rank of Captain on ships in the Orient particularly out of Hong Kong.
